On Thursday night, Gretna did something that no team has done in three years: beat Elkhorn South. The Dragons come away with the district title after taking down the Storm,24-14, to end Elkhorn South's 34 game winning streak.

Gretna quarterback Quinn Mason threw for two touchdown passes, both to Noah Burghardt. The Dragons defense stood tall again Thursday, as it came into this game holding opponents to just six points per game and shutting out its last three opponents.

The Dragons held Elkhorn South running back Moses Bryant in check for the most part as he picked up just 103 yards on 24 carries and no touchdowns.
